Imagine yourself in 10 years’ time. What do you see yourself doing? What do you hope to achieve in your career? Most importantly, how will you get there?
You are in charge of your future. Planning for it involves exploring your choices wisely and understanding your interests and preferences, in line with your skills, knowledge and attributes. Some useful steps you can take when deciding on your post-secondary education are

Write down your strengths, weaknesses and interests – eg. What types of work and activities appeal to you? What do you do well in?

Explore your career options – find out what types of career will fit your strengths and interests; volunteer or work in a job that interests you to find out if it really fits you; talk to people whose activities interest you

Consider what you can do to accomplish your goals - talk to your career guidance teacher or our NYP lecturers for course advice (during school talks, Open House and Joint Admissions Exercise); know what further education opportunities there are; find out which school environment can best maximise your potential

Finally, bring it all together – identify the course(s) that will take you down your desired route towards your future

Consider NYP’s wide range of courses – an NYP diploma adds value to who you are and takes you closer to your career goals!
